THE CHALLENGE

Amid shifting workforce dynamics, this globally recognized beverage brand set out to reimagine its corporate alumni experience to better engage a broader, more diverse community and deliver more meaningful value beyond tenure.

THE SOLUTION

Through qualitative research, six personas and core alumni need states were identified, spanning identity, connection, and continued growth. These insights informed a vision story, experience strategy, and implementation roadmap, along with a future-state operating model and a suite of concept services designed to support ongoing engagement.

THE IMPACT

The work secured C-suite alignment and significant investment to develop a minimum viable experience (MVE) and platform to test desirability, feasibility, and long-term viability, repositioning the alumni network as a strategic, experience-led asset.

JOHNSON + JOHNSON

Designing a Scalable New Joiner Experience

Working Together

THE CHALLENGE

Amid the rapid stand-up of a global shared services organization, 5,000 new team members needed to be onboarded in a short timeframe. The existing onboarding experience was fragmented and failed to create early connection or reinforce the decision to join.

THE SOLUTION

Within four weeks, existing research was leveraged to identify gaps in the onboarding experience and uncover opportunities for transformation. An out-of-the-box onboarding prototype was designed, tested, refined, and delivered to new joiners ahead of day one, creating an immediate sense of connection and clarity.

THE IMPACT

The experience drove a 25% increase in engagement, a 60% increase in retention, and an 18% increase in productivity among new joiners. With an investment of $200,000, the initiative generated a return greater than 30x, driven by improved retention, faster time to productivity, and increased overall engagement.

THE CHALLENGE

Lithium Americas needed to run a complex 5-day hybrid workshop to assess SAP module customizations across multiple workstreams, with risk of fragmented input and uneven participation across in-person and remote stakeholders.

THE SOLUTION

Studio L designed and facilitated the workshop end-to-end, including prep calls, Mural workspace design, and structured facilitation using human-centered design methods. The approach ensured inclusive participation and real-time capture of decisions across all agenda blocks, supported by a consolidated Mural output.

THE IMPACT

The engagement enabled clear, aligned decisions across SAP workstreams, improved participation in a hybrid setting, and delivered a structured, centralized record of outcomes and next steps.

As part of a critical growth phase, No Longer Bound sought to define a clear and actionable 3-year strategic plan. The organization needed to align leadership and translate current-state insights into future direction.

Designed and facilitated a series of collaborative workshops to guide leadership through goal setting, insight generation, and strategy development. Workshops combined reflection, ideation, and concept development, using visual storytelling to bring strategies and action plans to life.

With a strong external brand and vibrant culture, this global organization sought to attract a broader mix of talent with evolving expectations of work. The opportunity was to evolve the employer brand by rethinking both physical and digital touchpoints across the employee experience.

THE SOLUTION

A global qualitative study uncovered unmet needs across distinct personas, revealing opportunities to better support how employees connect, grow, and navigate the organization. These insights informed a strategic framework including an experience vision, design principles, and an innovation roadmap. Concepts were developed and visualized in collaboration with cross-functional partners across Brand & Marketing, People, IT, and Facilities.

Enhancing the Donor Experience

THE CHALLENGE

No Longer Bound sought to deepen its understanding of donor motivations and experiences to move beyond transactional giving and build stronger, longer-term relationships with key donor segments.

THE SOLUTION

Conducted 15 donor interviews, synthesized insights, and developed three core donor personas. A donor journey map was created to identify friction points and opportunities, followed by a co-creation workshop with the Development and Marketing team to prioritize ideas and develop early-stage prototypes and testing plans.

THE IMPACT

Delivered an insight-driven view of the donor experience, along with defined personas, mapped journey insights, and prioritized opportunities. No Longer Bound is now equipped with testable concepts and a shared framework to guide more intentional, relationship-centered donor engagement.
