MY STORY

After more than 25+ years in corporate and agency environments, I founded S T U D I 0 - L as a return to the kind of work that truly lights me up. Creative, thoughtful collaboration with people who value depth, beauty, and meaningful impact. I believe the things that spark joy and curiosity aren’t frivolous; they’re signals pointing us toward what matters most.

My deepest calling is to help others experience that same spark. To reconnect with what lights them up in their work, their lives, and the way they express themselves, through the work I love to do.

Endlessly curious, I’m a pattern-spotter, question-asker, and creator of work that stirs emotion. I’m energized by variety and the movement between disciplines, blending strategy and design, and exploring visual art across mediums. Whether I’m leading brand strategy sessions, crafting logos and visual identities, shaping experiences and letterforms, facilitating teams through challenges, teaching human-centered design at the Luma Institute, or working with acrylic, oil, and watercolor on paper, raw linen, and cotton canvas, I see purposeful design and art as powerful tools for meaningful impact.

I blend intuitive storytelling, thoughtful strategy, and a refined eye for detail to help people and ideas express their most authentic selves. I love weaving serene colors and textures, concepts and meanings, intuition and intention, always in service of creating something that feels right and resonates deeply. My approach is people-centered and experience-led, honoring human imperfection, introspection, and the unseen layers of experience beneath the surface.

Studio L is more than a boutique multi-disciplinary design and visual art studio. It’s a space for creative ingenuity, soulful collaboration, alignment, and authentic expression. I hope that every project becomes a catalyst for clarity, creative expansion, and deeper connection.

MY ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is an exploration of feeling, presence, and the quiet space between what can be named and what can only be sensed. Inspired by music, nature, memory, and human emotion, I create abstract works that emerge intuitively through layers of color, texture, movement, and mark-making using oil pastels, watercolor, ink, and acrylic to name a few. I’m drawn to the edge between something and nothing, where form begins to dissolve, meaning remains open, and emotion can be experienced before it is understood. Rather than depicting a specific subject, my paintings are expressions of atmosphere, rhythm, tension, stillness, and transformation. They are less about precise representation and more about resonance. Music often guides my process, shaping the energy, pacing, and emotional tone of a piece. Nature influences me in quieter ways through shifting light, organic textures, erosion, imperfection, and the subtle patterns that exist beneath the surface of things.

I work intuitively, allowing curiosity, instinct, and emotion to lead while embracing unpredictability and the beauty of imperfection. Through layered abstraction, I hope to create spaces that invite pause, reflection, and personal interpretation. I’m interested in work that feels both grounding and expansive, serene yet alive with movement and depth. My paintings are not intended to provide answers, but rather to evoke a feeling, awaken memory, or reconnect viewers with something internal and often difficult to articulate. Ultimately, my practice is about connection: to self, to emotion, to beauty, and to the unseen experiences that shape us.
